Europe
right now, in the city of Vilnius, Lithuania - and then later in
the Highlands of Scotland (as is fitting!) - cast and crew have
gathered to bring to the screen the fifth
installment of a tale
which began in the mid 1980s - the tale of Immortals who live, love
and fight down through the ages while we mere mortals watch. (Watching, never interfering... or so the story goes, eh Joe?)
Adrian Paul as Duncan MacLeod, Peter Wingfield as
the Really Old Guy, Methos, and Jim Byrnes as Watcher Joe Dawson
are leading a new era of actors in the Highlander realm, bringing
a film to the big screen that promises to have all the best that
we loved about the series itself.
Our
intrepid HLWW President Carmel Macpherson visited the set of the
movie in early November, and while there also acted as the chaperone
for the Giveaway/Auction winners. (And a little birdie by the name
of Adrian tells us she happened to be in the right place at the
right time when the set visit winners made their cameo appearance in
the film.... keep an eye out for the 3 washer women in the
background in one of the opening scenes of the movie when it is
released next year!)
Thus, on the following pages you will find Letters and Photos from
this trip: Letters from Carmel, Photos that Carmel took, and also a
smattering of official photos (some released for publication, some
exclusively for use by HLWW), and in the near
future, reports from the visit by the PEACE/Davis-Panzer Set
Giveaway winner, Laura Feingold.
We invite you, therefore, to peruse our...
And of course, once you've read these reports, you
must follow the links to the right and visit the
Official Highlander: The
Source website,
The Official Adrian Paul Website - wherein you
can read Adrian's own reports from the set of the movie - and The
Official Peter Wingfield Fan Club website, through which Peter has
sent the occasional letter and postcard.
