'The road less
travelled, the road of good intentions and the road home..
sooner or later Highlander and the mythology that surrounds
the cult franchise brings all fans back to the famous High
Road, to Scotland, to the music that beat at its celtic
heart and rocks its world.
As the fifth film in
the franchise, The Source, is readied for release in Spring
2007 by Lionsgate, a special Highlander album is in pre-production
to co-incide with the new movie.
The
CD will reflect all aspects of the franchise, recreating
some of the most famous tracks originally performed by Queen,
bringing together songs that reflect the spirit of the saga
and some totally new songs created especially for the album
itself. Some of the tracks are already in place and fans
now have the chance to input their suggestions too. Truly...
there can be only one song...'
Cast your mind back
to the original Highlander movie. One of the outstanding
memories is the soundtrack featuring the vocal talents
of Freddie Mercury and Queen. "The Source" soundtrack
will feature re-recordings of the classic Queen hits “Who
Wants To Live Forever?” and “Princes of the
Universe”. Here is YOUR chance to vote
on the final 'Queen' track to be included in the
special Highlander album. There are four
possible tracks from which to choose – all of which
featured in the original Highlander movie.
Listed below are the
four tracks – all you have to do is vote on the track
of your choice.
