From F Braun's workshop on Friday morning to the Friday night drinks
after the special showing of Adrian's film The Tides of War;
from the Saturday
sessions to the evening cruise on Sydney Harbour; from the
hilarious 'two inexperienced actors getting ready for a sword
fighting scene' opening session on Sunday
to the always entertaining auction, and the traditional HLWW
'Immortal Readings'... and adding in a few moments of the lads
exploring the Maritime Museum...
They came from far
and wide, our guests and many attendees, and more than a few of
our HLWW committee members. We converged on Darling Harbour in Sydney,
Australia and had a fabulous weekend full of insights,
reflections, laughter and fun. It was the 6th convention for Highlander
WorldWide (formerly HLDU) and it was an absolute blast.
Traditionally we had
always run our DownUnder events in Brisbane so this was our first
Sydney event. We were very privileged to have an outstanding
panel of guests:
Adrian Paul who was
accompanied by his partner, Alexandra,
Peter Wingfield,
David Abramowitz who was accompanied by his wife Randi,
F Braun McAshe.

from that printed in the book.
Here's a few photos of our
guests taken just a few hours after they stepped off the plane in
Sydney, as they wandered around the forecourt of the Sydney Opera
House.
